The word ki'i in Hawaiian means 'image', hence the name, Capture The Ki'i. When I started editing this collection of photos from my travels I found a new and positive focus. I was in a period of deep grief and depression. My overthinking was directed into the details instead of focusing on negative thought patterns. I'd be looking at a wonderful memory and thinking about everything attached to that image, instead of being lost in dark thoughts and feelings. Finally, i'd get a sense of achievement with the finished product and having the confidence to put in out into the universe was a big deal for me too. Some of these photos are from past travels and some are from my current journey.
